Meh, being a parent doesn't keep you from being a unAmerican shithead. It also doesn't help you understand that an adult child is an adult.

Some people need to be slapped around a bit to realize that their adult child is more of a peer than a subordinate. Some people just tire your hand out slapping them and never get it. Sometimes you just have to walk away.

PS: If you want to have a discussion with me about how being anti-choice is anti-American, the only way to start is by researching why the Supreme Court reached the decision that they did in Roe v. Wade and why it was based on the 4th Amendment. Drop an explanation in your reply, otherwise you're getting ignored.

Idk, I can relate to her honestly. I think a lot of people wonder if they were living in pre Nazi Germany and weren't sympathetic to the Nazi movement then how would they fight the looming atrocitkss. When you have children dying in concentration camps at the border you have a situation in this country is very seriously approaching a repeat of that fascism. People are very charged as they should be. I don't think this is the productive way to go about it though. Wouldn't it be more effective to try to change minds by appealing to her father as a human being with love and compassion?
