This is an older case I sometimes thing about. I wonder how I'd rule as a juror / judge.

I keep coming back to I would acquit based on jury nullification. It doesn't serve the interests of justice to convict. Not because he isn't guilty as sin. Not because he was a vulnerable person like the DA considered. I wouldn't convict him because he made the same argument supposedly abused women make and they get off even when they kill a sleeping man. I don't think it would serve the interests of justice because justice would be unequal for him.
Where do you stand on it and more importantly, what is the reasoning?
