when do you think people will finally realize the bias society has against men?

They already do. Everywhere. The real question is why is the mass media so heavily biased against men's issues?

Like when do you expect change to happen for the better?

If you want to know how the world works, follow the money. Feminism exists in the way it does today because the capitalists needed a nice narrative to convince women to leave the home (the place they have existed happily for 1000s of years), and go out and earn money and become the World's Greatest Consumers. Telling them that being a stay-at-home mum is some kind of crime against humanity, that all men (including their husband) are evil (or made so by patriarchy) and engaged in a massive plot to "oppress" them, and they only way to "liberate" themselves is to go out and become "financially independent", was just the easiest way for them to achieve their ends. Feminism has always existed in one form or another, but it was only in the 60s/70s, when technology (like the washing machine) freed up all this human labor in the home, and the transition to a service based economy created huge demand for soft labor (retail etc), that it was put on the front page of every newspaper in the country and portrayed as the new "absolute, unquestionable truth". It had to be unquestionable, because it is so deeply flawed that it falls to tatters under even the most generous analysis.

Put simply, breaking up the atomic, traditional family, has been a massive, massive windfall for the capitalists. Think of it this way - the atomic family is an incredible efficient social unit. The father works to provide income. The mother cleans and cooks (allowing the family to eat incredibly cheaply). They don't need much entertainment, because they spend time together. They only need one car, because they go everywhere together. The children are happy and don't need endless bottles of pills to make them "better". The save money instead of spending it (look at how a typical Chinese family operates). All this is bad for thirsty capitalists for whom the family unit was the last great source of wealth to be exploited. They used their front men (the media) to basically pump feminism and change society the way they wanted - and the first thing they wanted was to break up the family. Guess what the first real victory of feminism is? You guessed it, no fault divorce. Did I mention it also made a lot of lawyers very, very rich? The real joke here is that feminists still actually believe it was of their own doing, and that it all occurred to improve women's lives. The jokes on them, but women are paying the price (more on this later).

This is also why some countries in the world have been described as "stagnating" over the last few years (or decades). Italy, Spain, Japan - they all maintained more traditional family structures, and they did not experience the kind of economic pump that resulted from the destruction of the family. Of course, they haven't really been stagnating (OK Spain has for different reasons), they have just been growing at more measured and natural pace. Japan's "lost decade" is a truly astounding myth, but this is getting off track.

The wealth of the richest 1% (almost all men) today in the USA is a great testament to how successful this strategy has been. The increasing angst and hysteria within the feminist movement is sort of a sign they are waking up - things aren't going the way the wanted, but they don't really understand why. Anything that prevents a women from pursuing a career (or leaving a marriage) is viciously hunted down by the press and pumped until the government bends. On the other hand, many other things that feminists claim to care about but don't really relate to making women better workers and consumers is largely ignored by the mainstream press.

The irony of all this is that women are actually losing. And it's not men who are saying this, it's feminists. More and more are beginning to highlight the life of the modern women - working hard in a reasonable job but without stellar career prospects, shuttling through traffic every day to childcare while paying through the nose for it, finding it harder and harder to find a man who would settle down with them while they watch their biological clock tick away - is more like some hellish punishment rather than a feminist paradise. This is why so many modern women are basically psychotics. I wonder how many women in this situation look back at women in the 50s and beyond (going backwards), and wonder just how bad it would be to be able to stay home with the kids while her husband (at a time when women could actually find husbands!) works. What's even more ironic is that men are comparatively free - at least those that make the right decisions in life. There is a whole bunch of shit men don't have to live with today that they did in the past (some good, some bad). And before you say "so feminism DID help men", understand that there was a range of social movements in the 60s that were all about liberation from traditional society, feminism was just one of them. This is where the MRM really needs to be filled with optimism and hope - not just doom and gloom - helping men understand that it is possible to live a good life in today's society, you just need to understand the risks and the dangers that exist and avoid them at all costs.

So to your question - when will things change? Well, now you understand why things the way they are, you can probably guess - when it's no longer profitable for the capitalists to maintain the current system. As long as it stays profitable, they will maintain it, unless they find a even more profitable way to engineer society. Maybe some great economic upheaval could cause this kind of change. What will happen when we reach peak oil? Many people are seriously looking at this as a potential turning point in the global economy. A lot of the wealth and economic activity might dry up. The service economy might disappear. Men might go back to manual laboring as the fundamentals of our energy and transport systems change. Who knows. The need to force women into the workforce might dissipate, the need to pump feminism might vanish, then all of a sudden our newspapers and TV screen will be filled with people espousing traditional society, feminists will be demonized and pushed to the fringes, basically the reverse of what we see today. The "in thing" will change. Those who control the media can flick this switch over night, and change society instantly. And we will have always been at war with Eastasia.

But I prefer to focus on today. Men can do all sorts of things to understand the society we live in today, to understand themselves better, and make the right decisions for their own lives, society be damned. That's what the MRM means to me.

When women's issues are mostly gone. If rape and dv is 100% done to men and mostly by women, when men choose death over marriage and when men rather reproduce with empty eggs having their kids grow in cows because putting it in a woman is torture and a death sentence. But that's not the case and it will never be like that.
