Back story - My brothers girlfriend of 10 years who he has 3 kids with was found to have been cheating on him. She left him with the kids last Sunday Saying that he can have full custody as long as she can visit when she wants. We found out the next day that She left him behind by 3 months in rent (he is a stay-at-home father) and also abandoned her 2 dogs.

She said she was going to write out a letter stating that he was to get full custody, now that she had her mom in her head she's basically saying "lawyer up". He's a good father and has been there for those kids everyday of their life and he's afraid that with the way the laws are that he doesn't stand a chance if she fights him. He baths them, feeds them and plays with them. whilst she takes every opportunity to be away from the house/kids.

So I would like to know, does he even stand a chance like he thinks or would I be right in this and she walked out on him giving him the upper hand? Any and all advice would be helpful at this point. I love those kids as much as he does.
