They are primarily trolls, nobodies, misguided bigots, or just sad individuals who needs a sense of community, and need to feel important. The vast majority of them are not at all harmful. Don't completely discredit the subreddit though. While posters like "mrasarefascists" don't matter (And is nothing more than the latest pawn for their cheerleading squad as far as I can tell), there are at least one or two frequent posters there that actually know their stuff.

Most of what they write is circlejerk projection, and they are generally speaking more interested in their own hivemind than what goes on on the rest of reddit, though.
