Im not saying it's okay to turn this story into fuel for a male-hate fire, but if you saw the tweets going on about her surgery you would understand why people are upset. Dudes tweeting shit like "what a shame, her rack will be missed" and popular hashtags like #ripjoliesrack. Hundreds of men made similar tweets, making horribly rude and insensitive remarks about her "horrible decision" which is absolutely awful. She could have died and she had the bravery to have a life saving surgery and all these dudes cared about is that her tits are gone, and that is disgusting. Its not right to place one gender below another, but those tweets showed a serious concern for how females are valued in society. And for this incident the tweets made by men show that we are far from proper gender equality. I just expect more from people, ya know?

They're just taking potshots at a celebrity who's had enormous influence over young girls and women. Rude? Yes. But I know the anger that comes from witnessing celebrities using their position as a social or political platform. The posters are sublimating.
