Have edited this for readability I'm still flustered so there is still probably lots of mistakes.

Men Rights please help me help myself, I’m in VIC AUS I know you can’t answer all this stuff but I need to speak to those who have made it through. For context I’m in VIC Australia but any advice here would be helpful. I'm m waking my way through the divorce sticky but also through a sense of sadness for my daughter not having a ''family''. Here’s the background story At the age of 16 I got my girlfriend (17) pregnant and we decided to have it. Now we’re 20 and 21 and she has ruined the relationship. She is mentally ill and I don’t blame her for her predisposition, but her shitty parenting is inexcusable. Here’s what I’m facing Today

I couldn't handle her being so angry and pushy with my daughter. I told her everything, how she is objectively horrible and that I've wanted out for ages but am afraid I won’t custody. She offered custody (in a ‘’well take her then’’) way. BUT my girlfriends mother is very protective and willing to fight dirty in making me a weekend dad. This is what happened last time we split (I was 18 it lasted 2 weeks).

Here’s some vulnerability's that her mother WILL attack:

• I used to be prescribed adhd medication but have since found healthy living and exercise helps me study best (I'm in my 2nd year of uni with most of my grades being 80+). But she will pull the impulsive card on me.

• I’m poor Iv only saved $5000 as an escape fund and now relies I should have saved harder.

• My parents are on low incomes and both there houses are unlivable due to mentally ill family members in each.

• I had sex with a woman who was 16 on my 18th birthday (during the last split) they made me feel deviant for doing so and might try to attack my character in court.

• I still don’t have my license (I’m 40 hours off having my manual test to get it).

Here’s where I would love some help from you all I lived with my unfit parent of a dad until my mum could financially get rented a house and she struggled because dad often got the family social security anyway. So money and having a place regardless of gender does present a roadblock in leaving a bad partner.

• Where should I go? I have no-one my most supportive friend stopped hanging with me because of my soon to be ex

• How should start the ‘’leaving’’’ process? Should I inform her what I'm doing?

• Until this is sorted she will get 900 a fortnight for being a ‘’mother’’ from our government, I make very little will she be using this against me?

• Should I drop my course or just keep say one unit to do at night? This one is more a personal question. To those men who left did the sense of still furthering your career help the inevitable challenges or was it just too much?

• What should my ‘’team’’ consist of? I’m in Australia so access to lawyers/psychologist/psychiatrist is possible is there any organizations that help us?

I’m the anti-stereotype, watch teen mum and you’ll see a disengaged dad not offering support. I did the right thing for years, but this women is breaking every humanistic bone in my body.
