Based on 7,557 statutory rape victims reported in the US from 1996 - 2000:

95% were female; 5% male. The effect of underreporting was not studied.

For male victims aged 7- 17, 45% of their female offenders were over 25; for female victims 7 - 17, only 25% of their male offenders were over 25.

More than 99% of the offenders of female statutory rape victims were male. 45% of offenders were 21 and older; 18% are younger than age 18.The median age difference between male offenders and their female statutory rape victims was 6 years.

More than 94% of the offenders of male statutory rape victims were female. 70% of offenders were 21 and older, only 8% were younger than age 18. The median age difference between female offenders and their male statutory rape victims was 9 years.
