Whenever feminists say men are oppressors, they're being misleading, society oppressed itself. First off, we obviously know that men in power didn't just discriminate against women, but also men. Why? Sexist gender stereotypes. These men in power upholded these sexist gender stereotypes because that's just how society was. The positions of power that men had were awarded due to the gender roles they were given. Who perpetuated these gender roles? Society, if you say only men did it then you have to admit that women who are misogynists don't exist (which is evidently false). Thoughts on my theory?
