I recently came across a TikTok where someone shared their difficult experience working with an autistic client who was physically aggressive. While it's absolutely true that autistic people like anyone, should be taught boundaries, personal space, and how to manage their emotions in ways that don’t harm others, But in the comment section. Many people, including some neurotypical parents of autistic children, began thrashing autistic people (mostly the men) as a whole, telling how they got away with SA, sexual harassment and physically assaulting people. Some comments went as far as to claim that moms of autistic boys allow them to grow up to be misogynistic or violent, referencing Reddit forums and even school shootings. And how neurotypical parents stating how they whoop their autistic children's asses and how autistic kids know what they're doing (white yeah some may know better many don't understand well because ummm....duh autism can affect that sometimes) But at the end of the day I wholeheartedly agree that autistic individuals should be taught healthy behaviors and accountability.
