Autiscitc men especially those without any expectional talents are just left to rot. No ridicule no validation no nothing. There is no infantilization, they are simply not wanted.

I feel like it's the opposite.

In childhood, being autistic is not easy regardless of gender. However, studies show autistic girls tend to have an easier time integrating due to social camouflaging, less overt repetitive behaviors, more socially acceptable interests, etc. It's far easier for an autistic girl to fade into the crowd and keep a low profile. Autistic boys stand out and are pretty much relentlessly attacked, bullied, and ostracized by the group.

As people approach and enter adulthood, it's the same story. Autistic woman may not be a breakout sensation at parties, but generally they can be as quirky or weird or transgressive of boundaries as they want and they aren't going to suffer any harsh consequences. For a man, especially today, being inappropriate or crossing subtle boundaries is literally dangerous. Men are ruthlessly scrutinized for their behavior. Suddenly saying the wrong thing or at a party leads to being beaten up, misreading the room means getting attacked, thrown out, or ostracized. You say the wrong thing to a woman without even realizing it and a day later it's a trip to HR or student affairs and you're out of the job or Title IX'd out of school. Life is full of subtle social cues and unmarked boundaries. Cross them as a woman and you're just an oddball. Cross them as a man and you are considered a threat and something for peers or authority to handle.

I have never seen autistic people of any gender be coddled. People don't know you have autism in any random social situation. It's more like the intersection of their autism with we treat gender makes it much harder to be a man.

Me personally, people are really ignorant about autism and what it is and how it affects my day-to-day life. I'd rather people "infantilize" me than be extremely hurtful and ableist towards me, and the modern women we talk about in this sub are the ladder and far from the former.

A lot of women accuse Autistic men of being "weird" or "creepy"

I think there certainly is a large group of adult autistic men who are infantilized; treated as if they are children even though they are mentally capable and independent.

But there is also a wide swath of autistic men who are demonized, seen as dangerous and potentially violent and could attack at any moment. Autistic men are more often assumed to be uncontrollable vessels of rage or violence that could explode at any moment (in my opinion).

Both of these are disgusting misandric/ableist generalizations. But it is discrimination that mostly impacts men, so it is not addressed by feminists or politicians.

In the work place i take a lot of bullying for being focused on doing the best job i can and not being great at the socializing. It makes people uncomfortable that ive thought a project through backwards and forwards and know all the things that need to happen and in what order. But what kills me is im the guy serving the customers and making the money and they cant respect that

There was a recent study in incels which found that 30% qualified for a referral for autism treatment. That kinda suggests the autistic men are just left to rot rather than being coddled like a child.

This is usually coming from a lack of empathy from women and sexist entitlement(specifically towards this idea that women should never lead by example or "teach" men, or this attachment to the gender norms pushed by women that men should be the ones leading the relationship). It's a result of the way men are often objectified as objects of success, power and authority by women, instead of humanized as people with strengths and weaknesses. They will often perceive men as doing things in a sub-idealized manner, or a that doesn't put women as a priority, as being "coddled" or being a man-child.

Well... I can a perspective from which it might be true. I grew up with Asperger's in a time when it wasn't acknowledged (scientifically, I mean, not socially), and what followed on from that was a prolonged series of personal fights that caused a hell of a lot of unnecessary pain to me, those who loved me, and those who opposed me. Those struggles made me who I am in the sense of "a man of resourcefulness, courage, conviction, and ironclad integrity", but also in the sense of "an embittered homeless psychosocial wreck, crippled with PTSD". It's a gold medal winner of mixed blessings, to be sure.

By contrast, most of the younger autists I've met are quite deep into the same mindset of victimhood worship that the Feminists are, and for them, autism is seen as a "get out of accountability free" card. Their lives are smoother than mine, but I doubt they're happier- and they're certainly not healthier. It's very much a form of coddling, and a particularly damaging one- and while I've no doubt that similar indulgences would be shown to autistic women, the subtler symptoms and lower rates of diagnosis mean fewer would see it.

We aren't infantilized. We're being perceived as pathetic, creeps weirdos and psychos, who give women "the ick". One woman told me that my face triggers the uncanny valley effect. This literally means that, in her eyes, I wasn't even a human.

Infantilized? Yes. Coddled? Absolutely not. I've gone my whole life being ignored and talked down to because people assume I'm too slow to contribute anything meaningful.
