When making a title, it's best to assume the reader doesn't know what you're talking about - but don't go overboard with every detail. Then check if there are any words you can cut out without losing any important information.

I think if the reverse was found to be the case, the article would report that women possess a superior metacognitive ability to gauge their own intelligence and any under-performance in their work would be handily chalked-up to discrimination. In spite of their manifest superiority and surely due to the chronic, unfailing male inability to handle female success, because of course it is.

That's how the game is played. Whatever a man does, put a negative, sneaky, self-serving spin on it. Whatever a woman does, spin it as victimization at the hands of men, as valor or as innate superiority. Furthermore, you can't even say that men can typically throw a baseball farther than women without apologizing for the gross sexism of such an abomination of a statement but if you wish to hype a discovery about women being better at, say, the efficiency of cellular metabolism while throwing a baseball (the distance being irrelevant), such an expression of latent female physical superiority bears repeating ad nauseam, not to mention jeers about men being pathetic weaklings on a cellular level.

God only knows how the brave, strong superior sex is constantly foiled and defeated at every turn by weakling, cowardly, knuckle-dragging, mental midgets who can apparently oppress them for millennia on end without breaking a sweat.
