I have a house, RV and 3 trucks in my name, I have about $40k USD in the bank (shared account) between wife and I). My wife has nothing to her name, she's been driving my truck for 2 years and I pay for everything basically. I don't know what to expect or what to do really. I just know I don't want to be with her anymore. I don't know what I am entitled to, or what she is entitled to for that matter. She knows I want a divorce, this isn't an all of a sudden thing that came out of nowhere, we've been having problems and we both agreed this is the right thing to do. The marriage was relatively short, about 7 months, if that is relevant. I haven't checked my bank account in a few weeks, I am kind of scared to really since she could withdraw every penny but I'm not worried about that as much as my house / vehicles. Would it be best to consult a lawyer first or just go file for divorce and let whatever happen, just happen?
