It is obsolete buddy, that's already been successfully tested in sheep.

Additionally,

We've learned that the egg isn't needed, just the sperm and embryo, successfully tested in mice.

We've also successfully created artificial embryos and tested them in mice.

The only thing we don't have is artificial sperm.

Artificial uterus may become a necessity in the near future, with plummeting birth rates across the world and its implications for the state, this technology looks like the only viable solution at present. But this would also signify direct state control on reproduction. Any state especially an authoritarian one will find it extremely enticing.
