Maybe I'm out of line and I can't say bashing feminism is all that productive. But I just wanted to take the issues feminists have claimed to oppose and show my interpretation of them.
The wage gap The wage has been proven to be a result of woman's choices. I'm not saying discrimination never happens but sometimes men aren't given jobs just because they're men, and sometimes woman are given jobs just because they're woman. The only difference is discriminating against woman is highly illegal. If there's even a hint of discrimination against woman a company will piss itself and pay out the ass.
Abortion Abortion is not a gender issue, it's a human rights issue. Whether or not killing a fetus is wrong. Nobody is anti choice. Think about the pro life fanatics that shoot up abortion clinics. Are they killing the woman for making the choice? No, they're killing the male doctors that perform the abortion and kill the fetus. (I'm pro-choice for what it's worth.)
The portrayal of woman in media. There are certainly some female characters that have no personality, they're just girls. There are also severely underdeveloped male characters. This is a result of lazy writing, which will probably never go away.
Woman being valued only for their bodies I just can't get behind this. If some guy sees a girl and thinks to himself "Damn look at those titties" and then the girl starts talking to him and starts being a gigantic asshole he's not going to ignore her awful behavior just because she's hot. Just because a person is appreciating anothers physical appearance doesn't mean they're devaluing them as a person.
Slut shaming Guess what. If you go out and sleep with a bunch of guys, that reflects on you as a person. Obviously it's not fair to go around calling woman sluts (Or calling men virgin neckbeards)(even if they are) But some people are assholes. Feminism isn't going to stop people from being assholes, it's not going to stop some 8th grade girl calling another 8th grade girl a slut cause she hugged some guy during 6th hour.
Social pressure to dress/act a certain way I hear woman complaining that society pressures her to shave her legs, which it does, I wont deny that. But the majority of people don't find leg hair attractive. If you don't care what those people think, then don't shave your legs, whatever, more power to you. But you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't refuse to shave your legs then complain that no man wants to sleep with you. It's not his fault he finds hairy legs unattractive.
Victim blaming and rape culture Now victim blaming happens, I forget which case it was but some girl was underage drinking at a party, passed out, and two football players took advantage of her. Obviously very unfortunate. And there were a lot of people saying she shouldn't of been drinking or even that it's her fault (This particular case saw so much of this because society doesn't like hearing about underage girls getting drunk at parties.) Anyways, I would say the majority of people weren't blaming the girl.
The problem I have with this is how can you be upset about victim blaming towards woman when they are miles ahead of male rape victims? Male rape victims are more likely not to report it, less likely to receive help, and less likely to be taken seriously.
Woman in 3rd world countries have it super bad They do, so do the men. I hate when I see posts about "some woman in Congo was raped," Really? how man decapitated males did you have to step over to find this woman? If you want to support the woman in these countries that's good, but don't ignore the men.
Gender roles are bad Actually much of the MRM agrees with this. I personal think they aren't so bad, I don't think raising you son to be tough and strong and raising your daughter like a princess is so bad. I don't think it's going to stop them from being happy, or raise them in a way they'll take another happiness. I also think that gender roles have a firm footing in biology and you can only go so far to abolish it.
The Patriarchytm is evil When feminists say "the Patriarchy" they mean society. No one group controls society. There isn't a group of men saying "Woman want to be portrayed realistically in video games, HA HA FUCK THEM!" Feminists think that the fact the majority of CEOs and Congressmen is proof that society is run by males. As if they have any power over some guy shouting out "Nice ass!" to some girl on the street. Which brings me to the next point.
Cat calling. Men randomly shouting 'compliments' to woman in an attempt to either be funny, or pick them up. I won't try to speculate how often this really happens, because I don't know, I have never even remotely seen it, but some people have so w/e. And this can obviously be very annoying, and it's also something that pretty much only affects woman, AND it seems like the feminists method to stop things like this like putting up posters that say, "Hey don't shout compliments at woman, it's annoying." Might actually work!
I just wanted to throw this in here but cat calling actually works. If some guy goes driving around shouting at woman they usually find somebody willing to go party with them.
So I'm pretty that covers all the issues feminists fight for that I can remember. Now just for fun let's compare them to the issues the MRM is fighting for.
The majority of victims of violent, and non violent crimes being male and the lack of support they receive compared to their female counterparts, especially when concerning rape.
Unequal sentences for the same crime, favoring woman.
Paper abortions (Which I'm not exactly for)
Sperm jacking (Which is the best argument for paper abortions I can think of)
Gender roles (Meh)
Inequality in custody hearing, and generally the entire divorce process favoring woman.
No more male genital mutilation. (Credit to /u/NickyRodeo)
(I may be missing some) Now I don't want to say that the issues the MRM oppose are more legit than the ones Feminism opposes. But I think exactly that.
