Do your parents support you? Is the assignment about something political (directly or indirectly) or something that you patently disagree with or just you’d rather do this subject over what was assigned? If you don’t disagree with it, suck it up. If you do and your parents support you (or you’re in college on your own) then stand up for yourself. If you are going to fail the class for it or something and you’re on your own, it depends.

I would suggest you advise them you have you collated a series of objective propositions which are presupposed on valid premises demonstrating that feminist ideology is presupposed on dogma, rather than empirical evidence.

I tried to do the same thing last year on why Western feminism isn't working and issues such as men having no support for domestic abuse, my male teacher then went on to tell me the percentage of men suffering domestic abuse was miniscule, went and done my research and found that 1/5 victims are male, that's not miniscule. I was then told that I could do an essay on 'celebrating feminism,' Short story, I ended up doing scottish independence which is generic here.

Back on topic, tell your teacher you want to do it on how to improve feminism by listening to the 'enemy' and focus on how gender equality can only come from listening and understanding each other.
