The best hope is with the United States Supreme Court. They ruled that affirmative action was unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment. I am hoping that they will make a similar ruling against DEI with regard to the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Most higher level positions are owned by men but at the same time, no higher level positions will employ men. It’s super frustrating how both are true.

Why would white women want their privileges taken away? Do you think female only scholarships, bursaries, grants, academic quotas etc. will just "die out" in universities?

It needs to be challenged, and the more aggressively the better. Note that there are men challenging it , look up a user called title_×i_for_all and a mra Prof Mark Perry who files title 9s against these discriminatory programmes.

Oh boy. This is a really touchy subject and someone will be offended regardless of your views. But here I go….

Ask yourself if you own a business, if you own a company who produces goods that people buy. You own a business and you rely on good quality products and services being delivered to your customers who you make the money from, not the other way around. Because of how the laws are written, you have to meet a quota of hiring so many minorities, oriented persons, veterans, women, etc, but if you had the choice of hiring people, would you rather hire someone to do half of a job and still be paid the same as another employee or someone who is qualified? Because of quota and DEI, you must give preference to anyone who applies who isn’t as qualified as you want because of the law.

Now I’ve been asked by my fellow humans of if I was thrown into this situation if I was a business owner. I said I’d refuse to comply with the law because I’d hire the most qualified people to do the work that my company provides. So I used aircraft manufacturing as an example since it’s a highly skilled discipline. If I was in charge of hiring I would only hire the most skilled people. The most skilled people have experience and the education that is needed. And the thing is you can’t really look at criminal records or anything like that to use it for hiring practices. I want the most skilled people in this profession working for me.

Here are the business goals of DEI:

To lower turnover costs and broaden the talent pool as much as possible: in an environment where leaving your job is a strong strategy to achieve promotions and pay increases, talent is always a flight risk. By trying to pre-emptively make corporate cultures more open to women and minorities, organizations are attempting to lessen that flight risk by showing that opportunities exist in house, and by making the culture's more palatable.
Marketing to an every more diverse consumer audience who are increasingly less loyal
If you are trying to attract talent, it helps to have people in place who look like that talent - in much the same way that men accused of sex crimes often retain a female lawyer to help appear more sympathetic to female jury members

These are both bolstered by:

Most individual managers and "senior leaders" are largely interchangeable and have approximately equal abilities to do their jobs regardless of high high or not high their grades are.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you are very competent, but not a rock star. Your organization probably has too many "very competent" people to enable you to get the promotions you want, and because of your identity, your visibility won't help with recruitment, talent retention, or customer acquisition and retention.

The only way this will stop is if your industry enters a rapid growth phase again, or if there is a giant brain drain out of your industry.
