While reading and article about new sci-fi novels, I found this gem

I expect it to have the same problems as all the other current sf offerings that are chock-full of identity politics: a complete lack of historical realism or accuracy, lazy/non-existent worldbuilding, poor character motivation, author self-inserts, one-dimensional antagonists (always male and always unbelievably evil), and an sf setting/element that is the epitome of narrative "window dressing".

It would be interesting to really consider what would happen if a feminist from today were to travel back hundreds of years, and meet a wife who lived in some rural setting of the past. I can imagine the modern day feminist trying to educate this woman on the need for equality. I would bet money that it would be the women who were the most restitant to such change: "Own the land equally? Are you crazy? That would mean I would be responsible for working it! There's no way I can do that! My husband's hands are calloused and his whole body scarred and broken. My neighbour's husband only has six fingers left because of the danger of manual labour. I'll be happy to stay here and sew and wash clothes, and clean and cook meals, thank you very much!"

Gender ideologues of today have dishonestly convinced themselves that history is a simple tale of oppressed women and privileged men, when the reality is that 99% of the human population who ever lived led lives filled with suffering, poor health, and a daily struggle just to survive. However, it was men who primarily got the shortest end of that brutal stick, even though it was also a tiny minority of men who lived in relative luxury. It's just the apex fallacy played out in a more general sense, and it's the same blindness that is still alive and well today as an excuse for why women won't do any of the dirty but necessary jobs that are required to keep society stable and working for everyone.

I been noticing that a lot the past ten years or so. Harder and harder to find decent fiction that hasn't gone all full feminism retard. I have since switched to mostly reading non fiction these days. Reacher and Cross type books/series have slipped into the tiny minority. Now it's all unrealist women leads, surrounded by moron males and badguys lol. Well written female leads like say Kay Scarpetta are good, but the women aren't all written as flawless goddesses who can beat men up without breaking a sweat, and not all the men are evil or bumbling retards.

What I want to know is if they went back in time and assassinated Mohammed. THAT would be the most believable timeline change for Women's Rights.
