I need mens rights because we need gender equality.

I need mens rights because I need to know that my husband, son, father, brothers and every other man out there is protected.

I need mens rights because circumcision is unnecessary genital mutilation.

I need mens rights because of the institutionalized inequalities that exist in cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, child support, and custody.

Because of feminism, I spent most of my life believing that staying home to mother my child and take care of the household is "oppressive" and should never be something that I want for myself. After I had my son, I struggled for months because I chose to be a stay at home mom while my husband worked because it was what worked best for my family. I struggled with my feelings of self-worth for several months before coming to the realization that this particular feminist ideology is bogus.

This then led me to explore other options on the gender equality front which brought me to you /r/mensrights. You ladies and gentlemen have truly opened my eyes to some of the real issues of gender equality and for that, I thank you.
