As someone who can navigate different social groups I can see so much of this happening in real time

Especially if you meet up people who don't normally interact or have different personalities

I have tons of sporty and nerd friends and it's hilarious when they're all together because if you get one sporty dude and the place of nerds he'll come off as awkward just because he's not usually in there synergy and vice versa

I've been on both sides this and now that I can see you more clearly it's so crazy to see

I think awkwardness usually happens when people agree on it instead of something actually being awkward.

I remember when I used to go out with my girlfriend and I would see people I knew from school and we would act very jovial and catch up and stuff

To the people around us into my friends it didn't come off as weird or awkward. But to my girlfriend it did

There are even times where someone has come off as awkward I have to remind myself that that's not really true because these people are just being themselves and I bet if they were in another company they wouldn't be viewed as such

Also what looks awkward in one person will come off as confident and not caring about what people think to another

There's a star that comes in my store all the time with the tightest shorts on and my older coworker loves roasting them and I bet to her he looks weird and awkward

But the guy is chill as hell and he has a girlfriend so obviously it's not working against them before using women as a metric but this experience is kind of taught me that
