This has bothered me perhaps more than anything in this ongoing debate. I have made quite a few posts here now, and very few of the responses I’ve gotten from the opposing side have truly taken the time to address my points or offer thoughtful counter arguments. Almost every single response is some form of smoke and mirrors to distract from the very glaring issues, and generally redirects blame to the man in one way or another suggesting that he has no extreme disadvantages being a man, that it is all in his head, that he should reflect inward and see what he is doing wrong and what he can do to improve himself.
Even those who do actually offer some semblance of a rebuttal generally still either greatly diminish or outright deny that the issue exists. I find this sort of disturbing and representative of the greater issue at hand - the attempt to marginalize and outright silence men’s struggles and the reality of dating for men. Here are some of the typical half-assed canned responses you see here:
-“You’re probably not as good looking as you think you are”
-“Have you ever actually talked to a woman?”
-"Women are not a hive mind”
-“What is with these !nc3ls taking over this sub?”
-“All I hear is men whining about not being able to get laid”
-“Maybe if you didn’t just view them as a sex toy they’d give you a chance”
-“Tell me you hate women without telling me you hate women”
-“Oh you think men have it harder??? We have to fear for our lives every time we reject a man” 🥴
And countless other moronic deflections I’m sure I’ll think of later. It’s kind of getting old, when I am actively TRYING to generate honest debate and get some sort of clarity or solution to why things are the way they are, and this is all I can seem to get.
