Let's say a guy was talking to a girl, and the two of them had always been platonic friends. Then one day he starts to notice she's being more friendly towards him, and it seems as though she's flirting with him.

Now let's say this guy is single and doesn't like shut down the flirting, but not necessarily flirting back, just like being friendly.

However, his intentions aren't to be in a relationship with said friend, but he could entertain the idea and is sort of just seeing how things play out.

In dating people often flirt and talk without any commitment, so is any different?
