Didn't you read it? she was found innocent of all charges. That means the court examined the evidence and took statements etc and decided she wasn't guilty.
Literally thousands of people are found innocent every week.
Prosecutors had asked Lamontagne during her trial to explain the 86 text messages and 43 phone calls between her and the student, as well as a ride she gave the teen without permission from his parents. In response, Lamontagne testified that the messages and calls were meant to monitor the teen’s emotional and academic struggles The student, meanwhile, was admitted to Maine Medical Center in Portland last June after ingesting a mix of medicines, including Tylenol, cold medicine and a blood thinner, in an attempt to commit suicide. The husband, who works as an electrician, said he would frequently return home during the day to retrieve tools and didn’t tell his wife about his schedule. He also recalled a time when she suddenly left their home as her parents visited, claiming she had to go help the boy. “I didn’t think anything of it,” he testified. “I told her, ‘Do what you have to do to help the kid.’”

How is this fair justice

SUre she was found innocent, but that was a straight manipulation tactic. Making it look like they wouldn't function without her.

Sounds like she knew she was guilty.

If you’re a pedophile rapist and happen to have a vagina, you’ll get away with it

Ehh, I wouldn't be quick to demonize this one.
What 17 yo is getting some from his hot teacher and trying to off himself? seems odd. I guess he could have been suicidal, and she was fucking him.
Need more to go on.

Oh idk, the kinda kid that’s being raped? Bunch of people are raped end up being suicidal as fuck because of it.

A 17 yo boy is being raped by his hot female teacher? lol Yah, right.
[–]Lawkodi 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Do you think that men can’t be raped?
[–]TCDwarrior2069 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Sure. But a teacher having consensual sex with her 17 yo male student is not rape. It's statutory rape, at best.
[–]Lawkodi 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Who said it was at all consensual?
[–]TCDwarrior2069 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Who said it wasn't? It's a safe assumption, until proven otherwise.
[–]Lawkodi 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
No it’s a safe assumption that it was rape, assuming that it was anything else is ridiculous.
[–]TCDwarrior2069 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Ridiculous. You realize that statutory rape and rape are two very different crimes, right?
[–]Lawkodi 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yes. However it’s ridiculous to assume that any child is gonna want to have sex with a 30 year old teacher. You assume that he likes what you like. Kid could be gay, kid could have said no, not everyone wants sex. There’s so many variables on why he wouldn’t want it.
