I'm from Canada and I have NEEEEVER seen security anywhere near public transport, when I do they are in some common area just checking everything, they aren't just walking around inside the metro cars while they move.

I want to say it's a good thing, but it seems to indicate that there are a lot of problems if they need that much security to be around. What's with Edmonton??? Anyone know?
