Sometimes we don't have a video, sometimes we don't even get the story, but we can hear the conclusion. Here in Hungary even if you face criminal charges, the trials are in front of either a judge or at higher level court a panel of judges. The following advice comes from a very friendly, nice, non-entitled female judge. The kind that is often the worst nightmare of entitled bitches.

Don't talk to the cops. It is a well-known advice often told by lawyers, media celebrities and even law enforcement officers. What they forget to tell, that even bodycam and dashcam (from patrol car) footage can be used against suspects in the court.

You cry, try to manipulate the cops, only consider how the consequences of your actions might affect your future happiness and ignore the people you have endangered? The court will see it. Often state of mind is an element of crimes. You can be negligent when you drive dangerously, but if you really don't care about the safety of others and you were reckless, there can be far harsher consequences.

Crocodile tears of a careless perpetrator can be used as evidence of recklessness, also it can show how after committing a crime (and endangering others) and can shed some doubt when the perpetrator later puts on a show to tell the court how sorry she is.

Crocodile tears, attitude, etc. can turn an issue that would otherwise result in an affordable fine, into a more serious case where jail or prison sentence is more than possible. Even if women might think that crying and begging, pleading can be safe if they don't admit wrongdoing it can be used against them. And as they weren't interrogated yet, it is evidence freely given to the police and the prosecution.

Also, often when suspects try to turn on the waterworks, that can easily escalate to throwing a fit and actually assaulting a police officer.

In countries where there are no jury trials (most of Europe) judges usually heard enough sob stories, seen more than enough crying perpetrators. Most women usually don't like when trying to avoid an affordable fine ends up with a few years worth of prison sentence. It can be even worse when it happens on a vacation in a foreign country.

She also mentioned, that when such attitude and crimes resulting from that are getting common, that trend is also considered by the courts, and when something is common and dangerous, that is a good reason to issue more serious punishment.

Her advice, is to avoid that behaviour. Of course her advice often comes a bit late, as it is mentioned at sentencing, and not before the perpetrator would commit the crime.
