That's not even what happened though. The commenter was replying about how he thinks domestic abuse is an acceptable response to something they do not agree with. That's not okay and if I'm down voted for saying so then I think some of ya'll need help because this is turning into something it was never meant to be and it's disgraceful.
Edit: Before any of you jump on me and try and say it was just a joke. Hold up. I get it that it was supposed to be funny but that type of humor shouldn't be normalized.

You're way off topic. So far off. I'm speaking directly to and only to the subject matter in the post. Seemingly and I don't know if it's true but by your own admission you believe that women who make those types of comments (jokes in their own right but completely wrong as well) should be abused/hit and that it isn't awful for men to normalize that type of reaction and talk. I never commented on any of the issues you decided to bring up and quite frankly I agree with most of what you said and I'm not sure where you began to think otherwise. I think that you may have missed my point entirely but I understand where you're coming from with the other things you've mentioned but those weren't in the discussion and I was not referring to those in the slightest. All I was talking about was just plain ol' domestic abuse triggered by a stupid and misguided woman Saying something offensive, not hitting a man, or oppressing a man, sending them to jail or falsely accusing him of something as heinous as rape. Sorry but I don't think someones stupid comments should warrant a broken face or body.

Uppercutting someone that offends you is not just taking a stand. It's becoming violent and unnecessary. 100 other things could be done before you'd have to resort to punching someone ANYONE man or woman in the face because you're offended and they never raised a hand in your direction. You never said that you were against a use of violence(punishment) in the case above so I would have to assume you are indifferent or in favor of it.
Jesus Christ man. The photo was indicating a physical response to a verbal comment. I think a woman should damn well be hit if they hit another person. I don't support violence unless provoked and then only within reason to subdue and not to kill unless you'll die as well. In most cases it's taken too far and the appropriate amount of force is greatly surpassed. I don't support women who make those types of off hand comments or women who attack men. I don't support the situation portrayed in the post, two very different things.
Whatever you choose to do once it becomes physical is up to you and at the very less if you can, call the police and let them hear what's going on on the other end to protect yourself. We are all very well aware that men are in most cases accused of being the aggressor and face repercussions for defending themselves.
