I was at kickboxing class twenty years ago or so when it came to the sparring part at the end. I was paired with a woman and she said to me ‘don’t go easy on me just because I’m a girl’. I got the feeling she was used to being lied to in the sense that guys would pull their punches and generally go easy on her and in her mind that just wouldn’t prepare her for a real scenario. So, I thought okay and as we commenced I punched her in the face (with gloves on and bare in mind I’m not a complete bastard so I pulled my punch a little bit. But, it was harder than how I would have hit her had she not requested it that way). Me and my friend used to spar really full on with each other and there’s no way I could do that to a woman. It’s kind of innate, it just wouldn’t feel right. Anyway, she looked at me with this completely stunned, rabbit caught in the headlights look on her face. I could tell that the other guys mustn’t have obliged and maybe she had this mistaken idea that guys really aren’t that much stronger than women. Needless to say I felt guilty and started pulling my punches. I know some guys will say i should’ve done as she asked and gave it her full throttle but I think that with great power comes great responsibility. But that was kind of an early memory of a pussy pass denied moment. Although she did request the pussy pass denial so not sure it counts. Anyway, what would you guys have done in that situation? Was I bad for giving a semi hard punch?
