Crosspost "What is Disciple Mode?" from /r/DiscipleMode:
to me its many things..
It started as a play on "monk mode" which you essentially cut out all distractions and focus your time and energy one your business or self improvement etc. And I knew all that could be helpful, but I wanted to take that a step further, and focus it on Christ, and try to model how he lived and how his disciples lived. They lived with a singular purpose, to Glorify God, and to do that through making disciples and being disciples.

Matthew 16:24-25 teaches us how to be a disciple: "24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
Matthew 28:19-20 gives us the command: "19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Many Christians live in the flesh, as lukewarm believers who stand for nothing. That is directly against what we are called to be. We need to live disciplined in every area so that we will glorify and honor him, and when our time on earth comes to an end, we hear him say "Well done my good and faithful servant." the Bible makes it clear, many are called but few are CHOSEN (Matthew 22:14). THIS LIFESTYLE IS FOR THE CHOSEN ONES. Matthew 7:21 says also: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. JAMES 2:19 SAYS THIS: "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder."

Disciple mode is about living a disciplined life, and being a disciple AND DOING THE FATHERS WILL. Not our will.
What does this look like practically? Im glad you asked
- Flee from sin
- (lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life)
- not living a lifestyle of sin, and hating sin
- Deny ourselves
- addictions (social media, drugs, alcohol, pornography, any other sin)
- be disciplined in all areas (SPIRIT, BODY ETC.)
- Live and walk in the Spirit
- Read bible (especially Jesus' teaching and epistles etc, and pray daily)
- Share the good news, BE a ministry
There is so much more, but this is just a preview. IF you're interested in going #DiscipleMode, then you're in the right place
