Whatever baggage or hang-ups he has are his issues to figure out. If he is still raw from his previous relationship, it might be too early for him to be dating at all. That is something he needs to work on, not you. You are not a rehab center for damaged men.

If you truly are a high-value woman and you've shown him as much, I wouldn't waste my time trying to convince him to date you. Find someone who is ready to be in a relationship, who is happy to have a chance with you. You could always let this gentleman know if he figures out his hangups, he can give you a call.

Serious question, why date without exclusivity?

Marriage is about exclusivity. Most here want or have marriage. Why go after anyone without intention of exclusivity?

Also do we know what he defines a HVW as? Make up and dressing nice is good. But what do you mean by “You having your own life”?? Does he like your family? Has he met them and accepted them? Does he like that you are in school? Or is he ambivalent?

I don’t think theres much you can do. Healthy masculine men commit. You shouldn’t have to convince him of this. I think he is showing you his emotional unavailability and you should listen to him. I would keep dating around until you meet a man who is on the same page as you. Maybe not cut things off with this guy but keep him at a distance until he can make up his mind.

Dating but not exclusive isn't rpw ur esteem might need work if u believe u can change him and prove ur worth too him also some men just say they're hurt as a way to get out of hurting ur feelings and not want a relationship . U should cut it off if possible sounds like he's waisting ur precious gift of time
