Questioning about /r/theredpill

You have to remember that /r/theredpill is there place to vent. Many of the men over there have been beaten down by most women and thats there safe place to complain.

TRP is a sexual strategy sub. They are looking at what is most effective for the largest number of guys. Most of these guys are looking for sex without commitment with 18-24 year old attractive women. Majority of these women respond to what TRP preaches and act how TRP teaches. The analogy has been that TRP is the men's locker room. It's meant to do everything but stroke a woman's ego. Nearly every saying that TRP has isn't meant to be taken literally even though a minority of Red Pillers do take them literally. They all serve a purpose for the type of men who go to TRP.

It may also be off putting because women are coddled by society. We are told how bright and interesting and unique we are and encouraged by society and peers to shirk responsibility for issues that come up in our lives. Wives bash their husbands to their girlfriends and no one bats an eye when we complain about men publicly. Generalities about men are pretty well accepted.

But for newbies, TRP is supposed to be uncomfortable. It challenges and denounces a lot of what men (and women) are taught about genders and male-female interactions. Plus, they really don't give a rats ass if they offend you.

When you realize that everything on TRP is not a personal attack against you and is actually just advice for TRPers on how to interact with the kind of women they want to attract a lot of what they say makes sense. And when you realize that what they say makes sense you can see how that can also apply to you.

This might help some. For the most part, TRP is filled with men that honestly believed a lot of the bullshit that society crammed down their throats about how relationships worked. As a result, their interactions with women were either non-existent, disappointing or heartbreaking. When the stuff that they've been told shouldn't work actually does work they get more than a little jaded towards the group that they had previously thought to be "better than that".

Plus, I'm pretty sure the most vocal group on TRP has a tendency to be guys that are still in stage 2 because, well, angry people just need to vent.

Also to address your issue about the guy you like, I would honestly urge you to read up on TRP and actually try to take it in and understand it. Knowledge is power and in this case you'll know what rules he's trying to play by so you can identify whether or not he sees you as a plate or as actual LTR material, if that's what you're looking for. The ladies here can probably give you better advice on specifics for that stuff if you need it.

A wise man once told me that I was preparing to deal with 99% of the women out here. He then asked how was I bettering myself for that 1% type of woman. Trp is dealing with the 99%. So, I'll ask you the same, instead of preparing for the 99% that you won't be compatible with, how are you preparing for your 1% kind of guy?
