I’m confused. Is this what a girl wrote to you? In reference to herself?

If so it seems like an unhealthy attitude to me. It’s possible to love yourself and still take other people’s opinions into consideration, especially someone who might be spending the rest of their life with you. The harsh “I’m independent and no one can tell me anything” attitude often leads to misery. Humans have gotten where we are through cooperation.

If my fiancé told me he liked a certain hairstyle or wanted me to cook differently or dress differently, I would consider how he felt and decide if changing would have too much of a negative impact on my life. If not, why not?

If someone expressing a different opinion about your lifestyle/fashion sense is enough to make you no longer comfortable with yourself, then I would suggest that you aren’t actually very comfortable with yourself at all.

I wouldn’t date someone who expects me to live my life with them and who refuses to even let me speak my opinion because they’re so insecure as to consider it disrespectful. I don’t expect a high value man would put up with this nonsense either.

What! I’m sorry friend... she sounds very immature. To expect your partner to be completely impartial to everything you do in life because “she’s happy, so get over it” that’s literally something entitled children think.

I get to do whatever I want. No judgement, no consequence. Yikes! Are you sure you want to stay with her? Could you imagine that behaviour in someone you live with? Someone you’re raising children with? .....
