I am not sure how this is RPW. So your conclusion is "I was right and I do everything better but this is HUGE for us because he didn't take offense with me pointing out I was right and I do everything better?"

Find something to celebrate that he IS good at and focus on that rather than reminding him what he's not good at. I'm reading your initial post and it seems like nothing is actually impacted because you have another car. I'm also assuming you guys don't have any financial difficulties because you didn't mention those. So if he wants to focus on other stuff - it's his prerogative? Of course he has different priorities for his time than you do because he's another person so just step back and stay out of it. Like don't even say anything, don't think about it, just forget it.

If you want to respect him you have to give him kudos for something other than meekly taking your criticism. I think this whole thing is just you taking the lead subversively and micro managing him.

So I talked to my husband tonight after he found out they still haven't looked at the vehicle (🙄😡). I tried to tread lightly so I didn't make him feel like I was criticizing, but I told him how much I appreciate that he took the initiative to lead, I am just having a hard time not being frustrated that he is allowing them to walk all over him. This particular shop has a history of this, and they hate dealing with me because I stand up to them every time, but we have a warranty so it only makes sense to go there.

Ultimately, it went well! He didn't feel emasculated, and he understood where I was coming from ....this is HUGE for us! 😊💕
