I’ve previously posted about my situation here:

A week after he ended things, I went into hospital and he made an effort to check on me every other day, after saying he didn’t have time for a relationship. I told him this was something I would expect from someone in a relationship, and he didn’t need to keep messaging me. He had left me, so there’s no need to pretend to be concerned. He told me this wasn’t a big deal and would do it to anyone.
I realised I couldn’t get over him if he kept messaging and told him I needed space. I told him if he really wanted to be friends, to make an effort. The entire time we were seeing each other, I felt like I made the lions share of the effort to stay in touch etc. He says he just hates messaging. It’s been a month and 8 days since I asked for space, and I am not okay. I have lost a friend, and it hurts.
He ended things because he didn’t have the time or energy for a relationship apparently, he couldn’t see himself in one, even though things had naturally started to progress to that and I knew he was happy. I did not imagine that he was happy. I feel so sad. Why am I not good enough to balance with his work? I didn’t ask for too much. Why am I not good enough to commit to?
In the 38 days we haven’t spoken I have prayed that he would send a message to check on me. I know I asked for space, but for heavens sake, I needed to get over him and I haven’t. I have missed him deeply. Doesn’t he miss me too? Why am I the one hurting? I think of him every single day and I can’t stop crying. Neither of us wanted to be with anyone else, so why was it so hard to solidify what we have? What is so wrong with me, that I am bit worth balancing with the rest of his life? I didn’t ask for much.
