/u/GOATmar Stronglifts are weird. Squatting every workout (even low bar) is imbalaned the posterior chain will be lacking. 70lbs a month is too much on squat for people that aren't completely noob and there's no rotator cuff work (even starting with the bar is not ideal).

I assume that a vast majority of people here can at least bench 135 for 15 reps easily so stronglifts is imbalaned for them. Most here are experienced beginners and know proper form and some of their limits.

Instead, push/pull/legs (periodized) or anterior/posterior split would be more beneficial. "H" is Heavy workouts, "L" is light speed work to take a break from heavy shit.

My setup:

Push/pull/legs:

Push "H":
Bench press 3x5; 1x9; 1x11
Overhead press 3x5; 1x9; 1x11
Close grip bench press 3x8 low weight
Accessory work (esp rotator cuffs)

Pull "H":
Pendlay rows 3x5; 1x9; 1x11
Lat pulldowns 3x5; 1x8 (slow eccentric)
Lat pulldown (reverse grip) 2x5; 1x8 (slow eccentric)
Cable rows: 3x8 light weight
Accessory work (curlz for de galz)

Legs "H":
Low bar back squat: 3x5
Front squat: 2x5
Rack pull (can't do conventional): 5x3 (dead stop)
Weighted Glute ham raise: 3x5
Romanian DL from top: 2x8 (slow eccentric)
Accessory work (box jumps)

Push "H"
Pull "H"
Legs "H"

REST

Push "H"
Pull "H"
Legs "H"

Push "L" (speed work)
Bench 3x5 (light; paused reps)
Overhead press 3x5 (paused reps)
Close grip bench 2x10 (slow eccentric light)

5lbs is added every heavy workout so 30lb a month added weights on all excercises. Not for complete noobs this setup tho.
