Counter to the prevailing stereotype, I think that men are more prone to monogamy than women. After all, they're the ones who've been writing songs and poems about fair maidens since time immemorial.

Also, women tend to be far more social than men and enjoy the whole process of going out and meeting people/flirting a lot more than men do. The dating scene is more of an effort for a lot of men, "alphas" included. Not necessarily because it's harder for them however. Perhaps just because they tend to have other interests that they find to be more amusing than spending time with people who don't, i.e. women.

My question for TRP is as follows: Does overriding what I regard as the male tendency to commit (either to a person or a hobby), as advocated by TRP, in fact constitute a further feminisation of men, albeit in a more subtle, and perhaps more enjoyable form?

On a related note, I'm also interested to hear your opinions on which sex you think benefits the most from polyamourous relationships.
