There are a billion influences in this world which affect you. A good chunk of them coming from the inside of you: Feelings, Past Experiences, Thoughts, Fears, Motivation, Expectations. There is a long, long list to be made.
How do we take control over something which controls us? The very first thing is Awareness. Hell, that is the very first thing which actually gets one towards the Red Pill. Realizing, something is not right and then looking past the curtain.
So for now let's agree Awareness equals more control and said control equals power. And thus i want to introduce those of you who do not yet know about it to a principle you will not want to miss out on.
The Sunk Cost Fallacy
I wanted to explain it myself first, but to be fully honest i would not be able to phrase it better than it is already phrased on the sites which discuss this principle. So here you have to work for about 1-2 minutes yourself to aquire said tool. Google it, read up on it for a moment and ask yourself whenever you unsure about quitting something or continue-ing something you don't really get much out of. "Is this the Sunk Cost Fallacy?" - This will provide you with awareness, which gives you control, which gives you power over the strings you are still attached to.
Part 2 - edit
I want to add WHY the Sunk Cost Fallacy is important. Or rather how to use it. Whenever stuff is uncertain one should ask himself Am i more inclined to go with path X because i already invested in it? Does my investment blind my objective observation? This generates said benefit from above.
