I was talking to a swallowing-trp friend of mine, as he gamed his way with a chick, asking for advices of mine. I linked him the powertalk article (availible in the sidebar), and told him that powertalk was one of the best ways to game a girl, as it showed you had power over them. (Just read the post, it explains it way better than me.)

The conversation goes on to straight & baby talk, and how each should be used in a relationship. So I give him a few examples of how each kind of talk can be used, according to the situation, and how the type of language you use isn't important, that holding frame is. ("What you say doesn't matter. How you say it does.")

"Yeah, but your frame is not to settle with a chick right now"

That answer of him made me realise he didn't get the core principle of frame. And that, in fact, it could be misunderstood by others.

The concept of frame is a good start, it's a great way of learning how to hold it. It allows one new-comer to "fake it till he makes it". It helps learning, as crutches, but... Frame is not about faking.

You see, at the end of your journey (pro-tip : your journey doesn't end, it just evolves), you will have less and less efforts to hold your frame. In fact, you will be your frame, thus won't have to fake anything to hold it.

So, if your frame is you, what is frame ? Frame are the rules you decide to live your life by. The way you choose your interaction with people should be. The knowledge of your strengths and weaknesses, and their embracement. The supreme goal you give to your life, and the will to reach it, whatever it takes. Your frame, in the end, is defined by who you are, it's your core personnality.

"So, why does TRP tell me to hold frame every time ?"

Because you're a work in progress. We all are. And since who we are isn't fixed yet (and never will), how can our frame be ? You are currently building yourself a brand new personnality, you're working hard on yourself, becoming a new, better version than you ever were. You lift, read, meditate, learn, work, seduce. You make a lot of mistakes, but you keep going because you want to learn. But because you're trying all those new things, you're not sure of how to handle them, and your frame is shaky.

That's where holding frame comes in action, that's were amused mastery is of great help : you will always face unexpected situations. And although you might be the best looking, most confident motherfucker in town, you still will see your frame shake because it will be out of your comfort zone. And that's in those situations that you must hold frame, because that's how you expend your comfort zone : by leaving it.

And the more time you leave your comfort zone, the bigger it gets, and the stronger your frame gets. And the stronger you frame is, the easier it gets to handle it in new situations.

TL;DR : Frame isn't some scarecrow you use to fake yourself some confidence. In the end, your frame must become who you are, and holding it should (will) be effortless.
