TLDR: Focus and don't give a fuck.

Body:

This is my first post here. There's been a lot of things on my mind, particularly from reading TRP, and I will address these in other posts. While it is my great honor to lurk around here under my regular username, I seldom post stuff as I personally hold actions speak louder than words. So take this as an act of action, not mere words.

Now, it's Friday/Saturday midnight and I'm just back to my appartment from the park across the road, where I've completed my pullups and dips (and a few hanging leg raises thrown for good measure, gotta have those abs showing once I diet the fat off). Also, for clarity's sake, I'm not massive nor will I be, as my "lifting" is natural and it's using my bodyweight.

What was interesting was the fact that I managed to overcome my weakness by just focusing and not giving a fuck. Doing dips, I thought I couldn't do more than 5 reps, but I did do the prescribed 8. All it took was shutting my brain off and doing the fucking 3 reps left with as good as form I could muster.

So, do it, don't tell. That's my message. Just do it. Just don't listen to the mind for a split second and things will change. Once you experience that you can build on it and push through whatever is bothering you.

While it did take me 15 minutes to write these lines, I feel like things have started to fall in place, ever so slowly, but nonetheless - progress is progress.

That said, the shower awaits. Take care, all. Much love.
