Summary: Agree with him or disagree with him, Martin Shkreli is a good example of holding frame in the media.

Body:

Listened to a Milo Yiannopoulos podcast where he interviews Shkreli and started hearing a lot of DGAF from him. Decided to look at his videos on youtube and found a couple of gems of him holding frame. In this video he drops his all of his elocution. he really is smart and well spoken. He matches the woman he's talking to in style. He baits her and she falls for it. About halfway he explains to her why everything she's saying is wrong and rubs into her face that she doesn't really know anything about pharma.

If you have any problem with him morally turn the sound off and watch the body language. He ignores, makes it seem like everything else in the world is more important than what she is saying. In the first three minutes he tells her what to do and she keeps coming back.

Here he is with a CNN reporter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znaWof1jv6s

He pulls both of them into his frame. What helps is that he's using blab, it's his channel and he tells them that he sets the rules for the interaction. Look at their body language.

These videos are of him putting on a persona. Could be for his own entertainment. For contrast, here is talking serious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTNOWSKMS10

Let's not turn this thread into a debate about him or his morals. Watch the body language.

Lessons Learned:

"Status Alpha" is real. Home field advantage is real. If you interact with the media do it from a place where you can set the rules.
