One more reason, scientifically proven, why women shift out of hubby after few years of marriage so often

woman is on pill before marriage, stop taking after or when they are trying to make a kid, her preferences change and that's it

So the option is be a roundface dude. She goes OFF BC, you go ON test and hope that your genetics can keep pace with the effectiveness of her readjusting hormones?

The marriage metagame continually looks like a minefield you have to drag your balls through that is just LITTERED with broken glass, other dudes blasted balls to serve as warning signs and hot coals.

The thing I don't get is this:

Okay, we can safely say that we are more aware of the mating game then non-red pill people sans the scientist above.

So few of us have the inclination or intent to win this marriage game, how the fuck do the sleeping bluepillers think they have a chance?

Does this SOUND like its supposed to work this way?

Masculine faced guys have better immune systems, but they are more aggressive and less faithful - so they are not great long term partners. The significance of this (since the 60s with so many women on birth control) may have altered our entire species in a direction that it previously was not headed in. Making the above comments that I did is seen as controversial, but it's just a theory put out there by evolutionary psychologists.

Your god damned right Mr. Science.

I had a girlfriend break up with me within a few weeks after she stopped BC. It was pretty astounding to witness in action, although I knew hormone changes influenced women's mating decisions beforehand.

Don't think it has much to do with my face. She was not on BC for the first year of our relationship. I definitely dropped my guard and went beta when I went through a lot of trouble outside of the relationship. So once she came off the BC, complete unattraction to me.

It was before I knew anything redpill. I had this feeling in my gut at the end of it that something was seriously wrong, and I pretty much found this subreddit at its inception. The timing of the bitter bluepill end and a new redpill beginning, lol.

Now I easily have a couple dates lined up every week, and I'm not trying very hard. It's good to know what's up.

I have completely disassociated with the person I was pre-red pill. Its like two completely different people.

testosterone (or any steroids) won't affect the shape of your face directly. only indirectly...through fat loss. but you don't need steroids for that, although it is hard to get down and remain under 8% as a natural, i guess.

if you have a round face because of a short ramus, low cheekbones, etc., you won't necessarily get a masculine face even at low body fat, although you will look better.

Horray square faced-ness.

It's not only your face that she will suddenly find unattractive when off hormonal birth control, it's also your scent itself.

So shampoo with girly shampoo, then switch to old spice? ;P

Wow......

[–]RedSunBlue 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm about 80% sure you're taking the piss, but just in case you're not:

It’s all about scent. Hidden in a man’s smell are clues about his major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes, which play an important role in immune system surveillance. Studies suggest that females prefer the scent of males whose MHC genes differ from their own, a preference that has probably evolved because it helps offspring survive: couples with different MHC genes are less likely to be related to each other than couples with similar genes are, and their children are born with more varied MHC profiles and thus more robust immune systems.

A study published in August in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B, however, suggests that women on the pill undergo a shift in preference toward men who share similar MHC genes. The female subjects were more likely to rate these genetically similar men’s scents (via a T-shirt the men had worn for two nights) as pleasant and desirable after they went on the pill as compared with before. Although no one knows why the pill affects attraction, some scientists believe that pregnancy—or in this case, the hormonal changes that mimic pregnancy—draws women toward nurturing relatives.

LOL I forget sometimes how many people do come in here going full retard so when I type something like that I have to expect that to happen.

Thanks for being vigilant in your effort to properly align the understanding of people viewing TRP if I was some mongo that'd clear it up.

For those of you without access to scientific journal articles: I could not find the full text of the article linked in the comment but I did manage to find an updated paper from the same author.

ENJOY!

I love this exact study. It's one of my go to articles if I end up debating the nature of human female mate selection, which is at the core of the red pill.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fascinating article, more because it verifies/confirms some RP theories out there without having a confirmation bias. Bookmark that shit

[–]be_tru 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Makes sense. Sex drive goes down due to BC so they don't look for the masculine/alpha guy, they look for the provider.

[–]The_DukeDevlin 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I remember reading about this in Sperm Wars, glad to see more people spreading this knowledge. It's vitally important people become aware of (possible) changes to a woman's attraction circuits @_@ when she's on THE PILL.

[–]AlphaBrony 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've known this for awhile. I have a classical 'beta' face that I hate. It's not that it's out of place or necessarily asymmetric per se, but despite the fact that I've been weight training for years and years (which has helped to a degree but I've well reached the limit as to how much it will fix my face) it''s a hindrance that I can never get around without massive, risky plastic surgery.

It's probably not as much of a problem as being short but my game has to be that much tighter to compensate, especially if I get tagged as 'beta provider' (especially considering my STEM occupation).

[–]egodidactus 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Grow a beard.

[–]AlphaBrony 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't. Facial hair (besides my upper lip) does not grow. At all.

[–]newbtropic 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

With low body fat your facial aesthetics will be much more pronounced.

[–]DavidTIntellectual 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

+1168 fucking upvotes. And yet we're still "bitter neckbeards"? Get your act together, Reddit, you clearly already believe in most of the things we are saying on one level or another. Don't buy into the SRS and /r/cringepics propaganda.

[–]dreamingawake09 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, this explains a lot. Stuff that I kinda already knew, but in such detail that it still felt a bit shocking and surprising. sighwelp, gotta take advantage of it.
