B.) Betas aren't going to "rise up" and kill an alpha. Alphas use the threat and reality of violence to secure their position. Everything in this life is about violence and/or the credible threat of violence. It's why you comply with the police. It's why you comply with the government. It's why you comply with your parents as a child. It's also why weak men comply with the alpha males, not just in humans but in chimps, baboons, gorillas, and just about every other primate group too.

Violence is interesting in regards to government. See the monopoly on violence which is about how violence is ultimately the basis of the state.
Basically, the threat of violence by the government forces you to recognise the authority of its violence.
If I put you in a room for 24 hours, that's kidnapping. If the police put you in a room for 24 hours, that's arrest.
One's legitimate, the other isn't. Legitimacy of the violence, funnily enough, comes from the threat of violence. It's a cycle.
The legitimacy of the violence of the state (including police) then bleeds off into schools and whatnot. For example, in a school, if you break the rules of the school, you can be suspended / expelled.
The school has laws which are enforced by the laws of the government.

If we were to imagine ourselves in a survival situation with a group of 50-100 people, would the optimal mating sexual strategy for the GROUP [not the individual, but all the members of the group] actually be only allowing 20% [The Alphas] to have sex with all of the women all of the time? I doubt this.

I don't understand what's the point of your model. The TRP is a description of how the SMP works and how as an individual you can navigate the SMP.

an alpha does not explicitly proclaim he is an alpha. he uses subtle signs and manipulation (unconsciously mostly) to not only dominate other males but also get a legion of helper males who submit to his authority and this group as a whole become the alpha group. as a group they also keep in check anyone trying to mess with the status quo.
all of these happen in a very subtle and covert manner. Violence doesn't need to even arise unless there is a strong contender for the alpha position who also has a good legion of followers.

I wouldn't call this an "alternate hypothesis" to TRP. It's a scenario based on very specific assumptions, i.e.:

These assumptions are only applicable to very particular situations. Because this scenario does away with SMV, it does away with hypergamy, which is the crux of mating ritualism.
In the real world, we have differing SMV's, and therefore hypergamy comes into play, and therefore we have TRP. Because this situation you've described is so nuanced, it is not applicable to men in every situation. The reason TRP accepts ideas such as AWALT, SMV, hypergamy, etc. is because they can be applied in any situation.
