Quoting an old TRP post for example and context
"Long hair does not increase your SMV. the amount of women who like guys with long hair is a smaller pool than those who like shorter. It's a niche thing.
In fact, it could be working against you if you're one of "those" metalers with a disgusting appearance and all black clothes.
I used to have long hair also (musician) and I received countless complements on it over the years. Some chicks like it. And when they do, they REALLy do. But I went with a much shorter (but still musician-ey) style and am never going back
But you gotta play the odds man and make yourself as desirable to as many women as you can."
Hair is just an example. But this has always bothered me. I wear a certain style now, it works okay, it could always be better, I could sit and study which style is the most neutral for all ages and styles of women so as to have the broader appeal, but this is exhausting.
Should one just go with his own style and risk narrowing the audience in which they appeal to but earn the benefits of polarization (those that like you, will REALLY like you) or should one strive to have the broadest appeal possible and let their game do their rest?
In general I am having trouble balancing this and choosing what my style will be. I like some style elements on me that are objectively less attractive to women and I have realized it.
Should I change them to be attractive to women or should I keep them to remain "true" to my self?
It is all about feeling good but one obviously feels good if one gets more tail.
Thoughts?
