When I saw the first interviews of TRP famous guys 5 o 6 years ago, they were often older guys, really not in shape, it was shocking, it felt like a fraud.

Now I see mostly chads. I guess 6 years of TRP have that effect.

Gonna be completely honest. This isn’t what I expected the prolific and cut throat writer known as Archwinger to sound like. His personality didn’t match the tone of the articles he wrote. Not that this is a bad thing. It’s more of a realisation that we’re all just people at the end of the day. But that definitely took me by surprise.

It was interesting seeing just how disconnected Archwinger is from the entire philosophy and ideals of TRP. You can tell all of the wisdom is still intact within, but his belief in his ability to help others has diminished to a point where he isn't comfortable sharing his opinion anymore. He's only comfortable speaking from anecdotal experience, which is embracing humility and being humble, but to be honest, if he's brought on for an interview, that's because people want to hear his unedited version of what's really going on between his ears; If he does another interview, I'd want to hear him Throw off the reins of humility and just embrace the fact that his opinions might fall on perky, deaf, or pissed-off ears.

He also touched on how there's nothing left to invent and that being the major reason of his inaction here. It's all been said. That's the more likely reason that the post frequency and quality has dropped off over time. You can only reinvent a wheel so many times before people no longer care to see "the newest wheel" that still serves the exact same function of rolling shit somewhere.

That said, I believe I can quantify the "x-factor" that made his posts what they are and what they meant to people. It's a combination of a very analytical and observant mind. Often, this is the exact same set of skills that make comedians so effective in their "delivery of truth". They pride themselves on their ability to be able to describe things. There is something gravitational about the ability of putting something that someone is feeling, but doesn't know how to competently convey, into a simply-worded concept or analogy. Ya know, the "thats so true!" feeling like you had known that concept forever but just needed to hear it succinctly put. Or the involuntary nodding you'll find yourself doing as you read his posts.

Overall was so cool to put a voice to the name. And I hope to hear a more detailed interview with some tougher more pointed questions for him in future. Thanks for convincing him to make a return, even if only for a moment!
