As a college student, I've been working on the side at a retail workwear store to pay my way through. For the last year and I half I've been with the company, I've noticed an incredibly blue pill trend from a lot of our male customers who bring their SOs with them to go boot shopping.

Regardless of the fact that they fit well, meet their work rating requirements, etc. these men are heavily dependent on their women's validation before making the decision to buy their own boots. "Honey, what do you think of these? Should I buy these? Which ones? How do they look?" It's a cringing experience, seeing it so up close as I await the customer's final decision.

The dominant, pants-wearing SOs will hone in on the boot, give it a thorough analysis, then give their approval/disapproval at which the man finally makes his decision. Hilariously, and rightfully so, some gfs/wives will give their validation-seeking men a wtf look before bluntly informing them "Why the hell are you asking me? It's your boot." I wish I could give these women high fives.

Such is an example of the modern day common man who is conditioned to give up control, even for things as small as buying their own footwear.
