Hey guys,

I am 18 years old, and practically fresh out of high school. I just finished my first semester at college, and after being depressed for as long as I can remember, I decided that things need to change. Ever since I found this sub, I have been striving to improve myself in every way. I have put away my expensive gaming PC, stopped PMO (Porn, Masturbation, Orgasm), and I have quit all drugs (Mostly weed and alchohol for me).

Today, I saw a post and u/Dick_Slynger and u/AssBlastGasMask mentioned Dokkodo, which is 'The Path of Aloneness.' I really like the concept of this, but eventually, researching Dokkodo led me back to Buddhism. On Buddhism's Wikipedia page I read about the concepts of the religion, and while I am not going to practice the religion its self, I will be trying to implement alot of its principals in my every day life. This chart really stood out to me. Excuse me if I am getting something wrong here (I'm still new with this stuff), but the principals in the Noble Eightfold Path really seems like what many people here on the TRP are trying to do with their lives.

I just thought that I would share that and see what you guys thought about it.

Cheers, Datpen
