Their male counterparts withdrew completely, never engaging in courtship or fighting. They ate, drank, slept, and groomed themselves – all solitary pursuits. Sleek, healthy coats and an absence of scars characterized these males. They were dubbed “the beautiful ones”.
Sounds good!

This is the scariest thing I've seen all month.

Relax, you can't change it.

There's another experiment that might interest you. In the wild, Baboons maintain a female-heavy sex ratio. Dominant males monopolize two or three females each. Not understanding this, curators of a zoo in London placed an equal number of male and female baboons.
The fighting was bloody and most of the females were killed. The males would literally pull the arms of females off, then would drag the bodies away and continue to have sex with them. This is actually were the term, "sex object" comes from.
The point of all this is, every animal has a natural situation to which it is best suited. Rats need space. Baboons need the right sex ratio. We humans are not infinitely adaptable, and it stands to reason that there are optimal social conditions for us as well.
I can't remember where I read it, but I believe that humans function best in communities of (if memory serves) 52 families.
You related this to MGTOW, but in my opinion it's only tangentially related to TRP in that blue pillers constantly beat the "culture" drum. They believe we're born a blank slates, but every shred of evidence says otherwise.

Are you referring to Dunbar's number?

Maybe that's it. Thank you.

Saw this before but never applied this to TRP - or more specifically, the breakdown of social structure, where women become mroe dominant as the social roles become filled. Although biologically inclined to be submissive, they are rapidly retaliating against their biological traits, causing males to become increasingly weaker, more frustrated and self-destructive.

I postulate that hypergamy becomes a problem in large, dense populations. The same enables PUAs.
It is not a problem in small communities, where everyone knows everyone and and there are consequences to asocial behavior. In small communities hypergamy leads to a proper ordering of mates: prettiest girl with the socially highest (wealthiest) boy. Sluts and PUAs are instantly recognized and ostracized.
OTOH cities are anonymous places. It is not a problem to run a 10-year hypergamy series or a PUA conquest, because it is possible to change venue. It will not be noticed by the social circle and there will be no negative consequences. Furthermore the social ladder to climb is much larger in places like NY. So many upper branches to swing to and so many fresh incoming 21-year olds to be picked up.

Feminism has made hypergamy a problem in small communities, there is no backlash, no downside to a woman trading up anymore. She can trade down and cause problem for her ex, but as long as she is happy its just fine with the women of the community.

This seems eerily similar to what is happening to western society.

Not going to happen to mankind. We have artificial breeding to counter it.

I think that this comment makes some sense. Humans have a great control over population growth. Already abortions, birth control, contraceptives, have impacted male-female relationship dynamics and population so much. Plus governments have pretty much forced men, women, to behave a certain way when it comes to mating. (think of China and its 1-child policy, think of numerous marriage/divorce laws, think of feminism and female sexual liberation) Also, imagine about 40 years from now, when there will artifical wombs and life-like sex dolls. Maybe that is when men will be liberated too - from bondages of serving the female imperative in the society, maybe that's when women will be truly forced to compete equally at every front, no special privileges to women for anything because now their sexual/reproductive resources have been replaced. Think about that.

When women gain equality, they will weep. Because then they will realize just how privileged they were and they will be unable to gain it back.

Dude: It's one thing to bitch. It's another to bitch while contributing nothing.
Avoid the latter.

You would do us all a favor if you reserved this for MGTOW evangelists.
There is a world of difference between "Hey look everybody, I'm going MGTOW and those feminists are afraid of me because of it" and linking to an experiment whose results have relevance in analyzing why men might go that direction.
