I recall that petrol (gasoline I think it is called in the US) used to be the thing for that in outback Australia. Didn't seem to have any notable affects on population statistics so I'll consider that conclusive enough that trivial shit does not matter.

Girls aren't worth all the effort that you naturally think they are, especially when it's something that's detrimental to your health.
Even her abusing your time is detrimental to your health because it's your life currency and your letting her waste it.
However to stay on topic there is no good reason to start smoking cigarettes especially not for women.There are much better vices that you can use for stress relief. If you never start you'll never have to quit.
You said it yourself your friend has good game that's what helps him most , not the cigarettes, even if they did would it be worth it?

Cigarettes are disgusting; they are the McDonald's hamburger of tobacco. I smoke 1 or 2 cigars a year. I drop between $20 and $50 for a good one and enjoy. You don't inhale, you take the smoke into your mouth, nose and sinuses to enjoy the flavor, not the nicotine rush.
The reaction from women is mixed: they may not approve but understand that it is less disgusting than smoking cigarettes, or they think that it is personality point, or they think that it is classy like drinking single malt Scotch straight even if they don't like alcohol.

It's semi-faux. I won't drink single malt scotch unless someone else is buying. On the other hand, I will buy good cigars and share them with friends.
For a few years running it was a Father's Day ritual: I bought dad a $50 cigar and a $20 cigar for myself, he brought the single malt scotch, we smoked and drank and talked shit on his deck.
I don't claim to be a tobacco connoisseur. I really wish I actually liked to drink Scotch so I would have some motivation to really appreciate it. I am more of a rum or vodka man but that does not have the same cache as talking turkey about Scotch or wine.

I guess I just have trouble understanding cigar people. I love the idea of smoking and I love the high that comes from it, however smoking in itself I sort of hate. It's not really a pleasant thing, so it's difficult for me to understand why someone would smoke if they're not even getting a high out of it.
Perhaps for you it's the positive memories of your dad, but as for other people I have no clue.

I'd say that alcohol is probably worse for you than cigs. The reason why most people get lung cancer is because they're smoking packs a day. If someone drank a 12 rack every day they'd probably drop dead far sooner than the smoker.

Can definitely confirm. I used to be kinda worried about smoking at events/parties because of the whole "smokings gross" thing, but the assumptions they make about you when you roll up with a cig in one hand and a beer in the other tend to work in your favor.
