Summary: Chunking helps people of all skill levels learn more efficiently.
Intro: Long time lurker here, I don't remember seeing a post about this topic so I decided to share it with you guys. Let me know what you brahs think.
Body:The basis of chunking is to take new information piece by piece, literally chunk by chunk. It's not sitting down and cramming everything in within 8 hours, it's learning a bit of knowledge or skill everyday and repeating it over and over while building on top of it with another "chunk" of info.
One thing I noticed is that too many people, especially newbies, tend to try to learn too much in one sitting. In the red pill context, to them, swallowing the red pill can be done within days or weeks when instead it is more of a long journey in which a beta molds himself more into a man. Chunking in this context would be the continuous reading of the sidebar as well as practice of the RP tenants everyday. Okay maybe you don't need to read the sidebar everyday but as a newbie I think it would benefit you to at least review it a few times until it is ingrained in your head. The thing is you have to continuously practice and refine yourself. First you read a few posts, then you practice, then you read some more on TRP, practice the new knowledge with the old knowledge, read some more and the cycle continues except your base of knowledge continues to expand more and more.
That's the point of chunking. To continuously build up yourself whether in terms of skills, knowledge, lifts, anything in life. Another example would be in terms of lifting, something that is a core part of self improvement and being a man. You don't just start off bench pressing 225lbs for 5 reps; that kind of muscle needs to be slowly built up. Instead, you probably start off at 135lbs for 5 and slowly chunk the weight adding 5lbs every time the old weight gets too easy until one day you realize you're finally at 225lbs for 5 reps.
I can't stress how well this works regardless of what aspect in life. A skill isn't learned in a day. A skill is learned through countless trials and repetitions going through constant refinement to get better and better. Chunking is that constant repetition and increase of knowledge until one day, you're not a newbie anymore, you're a veteran.
Conclusion:When learning new things, take it chunk by chunk slowly practicing and building up your knowledge. In this way you'll have a solid foundation and your success is just a matter of time and effort.
