Of course, you get your usual dose of faulty rationalizing (hamstering) from the candidate herself:

“I think there was a cachet about having an African-American president because of guilt,” Bachmann said of President Barack Obama’s nomination over Hillary Clinton.

“People don’t hold guilt for a woman,” Bachmann continued, adding “I don’t think there is a pent-up desire” for a woman president.

There's almost this reoccurring envy I've noticed from feminist women like her where they have this insatiable need to present themselves as victims in every situation that allows for it. I just don't know how they can live with something like that -- I'd be disgusted with myself if I ever had to resort to victim-hood and hope for a pity party from others around me.

This woman is also implicitly stating that she wishes women would have gone through what blacks had to go through in their slavery-inflicted past. That way, people would feel guilty and perhaps "sympathetic" enough to give her a free vote for aallllll dem bad things her distant female ancestors must have gone through. What's more, rather than seeking to win the presidential elections honestly and through effort/commitment to her country, it seems she'd happily accept a win even if it meant her voters were guilt-tripped into voting for her in the first place... GROSS! People like her are the losers we'd kick out of our elementary school games. People who want to sneak their way through cheap tricks with no sense pride.

Scrolled down and found a comment that made me laugh (and I'm sure TRP will enjoy) because it was so damn obvious, yet it just never occurred to me:

An attractive woman would be hated by majority of women because she doesn't look like them. On the other hand the fat and ugly are not going to be liked by men.
