I'll tell you what the difference is according to most people (though they may not be able to articulate it, this is the underlying process) - slut shaming is bad because it's criticizing something a woman is doing. Women should be able to do whatever they want. A virgin has failed to gain the approval of a woman, therefore virgin shaming is simply supporting women's choices.

This isn't new. 20+ years ago my first had a list.

It's been so long I can't remember what number I was (she was at least in double digits), but I had protection and got a "++" because I made her have multiple orgasms.

The thing I didn't internalize from that experience is that MOST women are like this. 20+ years ago the cock carousel was fully up an running, but "good girls" still had enough traditional values lingering in society to provide enough "slut shaming" that as long as they hid their lists (or didn't keep one) only "those girls" were sluts.

I agree completely, and I've had similar experiences.

Humans are essentially chimpanzees with big brains. That means women are essentially female chimps. Study chimpanzee sexual behavior - it's not exactly the same as "natural/non-civilized female sexual behavior" but it points in the right direction.

Think about yourself, aren't you sexually attracted to more than one woman at a time? So women are sexually attracted to more than one man at a time.

I feel no need to slut-shame, but I feel no need to slut-praise either. Just horny female chimps that no one taught or enforced the civilized practice of not fucking whichever guitar player you happen to succeed at seducing.

Yes, it is natural and so only nature can stop it. This is before condoms and abortions (risk of death was huge), and women were also reliant on a man to provide income to enjoy a decent quality of life, who would reject them if they had too many partners. Well first of all, stabbing someone with a needle of AIDS is attempted murder. Offering sex and having men fall over themselves to get it isn't even remotely the same thing.

But more importantly, I wont speak for him but I doubt that's why he's mad.

He's mad because he wants the sexual market to be equitable, and indeed society tells us that it is (even often saying that it's unfair to women, lol). But every so often, you get a glimpse of the truth and it's so completely different than what we've been told, that the only appropriate word is, "lie."

I get why he's mad. I get why a child would be mad to learn that Santa is a lie that kids are told so that they'll behave. I totally get it. But it's still not a useful reaction.

Are you talking morals here? Because if so, my response is: you're angry because you were raised to believe the behavior is morally wrong.

If you're talking about enlightened self-interest, in which you acknowledge that people are free to make bad decisions if they choose, then my response is: I agree. I don't think this woman is necessarily smart. She has a depreciating asset, and she's not using it to secure her future happiness.

But I think you're talking about morals. Because it's the only scenario in which you'd get angry. I think that people have a right to do whatever they want with their body. If someone decides to take drugs until he ODs and die, I would say "that's not a good idea" but I wouldn't be angry about him doing it.
